"Sorry, this account is not authorized to access this game"

I bought the game from Steam and get this error every time I try to launch it. Neither Compatibility settings or "run as administrator" do anything.

Intel i5 3570k
Radeon 7950
Windows 8 PRO

No replies to email or this thread. Search shows other people having this problem as well and receiving no support. Unbelievable really.
