I want to see a bite victim survive in season 2.(Successful amputation)
 

A character gets bitten like Lee did but this time they amputate straight away and the character survives. If season 2 continues on from the end of season 1(which i think it will) it's safe to assume that most people who are still alive know that amputation can be successful. Also imagine if it was a child in your group like Clementine or Duck who got bitten on the arm or leg and you had to forcefully amputate to try and save them, and the child would be crying begging you to stop,it would make for a very dark scene.

That'd be pretty cool. I dunno though, it IS pretty early on in the apocalypse, and the group with Lee decided to do it a while after he had been bitten, so maybe. But with the child thing, I don't think that could work. Considering they're just a child, they'd have to be pretty tough to survive through it.

It'd be interesting to see how the character would be in future episodes with only one leg or one arm.

I wouldn't mind seeing this... but it'd need to be realistic.

Like... someone cutting off the limb "as" it's being bitten and one of the characters having real medical knowledge and access to real medical supplies.

Anything else would be lame in the extreme.

Yeah hopefully there will be a doctor in the group.

I was having a convo with my friend the other day about how we'd like decisions in the game to be taken up a notch.
How maybe you could have a character like Kenny that's sort of a fan favorite. Then at one point in the game you decide between saving a hot chick or a doctor. Then Kenny-like character gets bitten, and if you didn't have the doctor he'd die from blood loss if "hot chick" was there, but if the doctor was there he'd live...

I'd like stuff like that, y'know? One of the things I want to be made better in S2 is the choices :/

I'd feel great saving someone's life by cutting their arm/leg off >_> I'd be more than happy to do it to Duck if he was still alive >:}. I hope Clem doesn't get bitten though because amputating her arm or leg will give me nightmares for months :[

Yeah tell me about it, i doubt Clem will be in a situation like that though, at least i sure hope she won't be! :D

I'd like to see this in Season 2. It just better not be Clem.

I think this would be good for season 2, and maybe even count as one of the tough choices as to how the player deals with panic and anxiety when someone you know just got bitten.

In the TV series, Rick barely panicked and was quick to cut off Hershel's bitten leg and he survived.

Maybe they make us cut off a well-liked character's leg/arm. Like, say you sided with the Kenny-like dude a lot and you and him were bros. He gets bitten, and you have to forcefully amputate the arm, the entire time he's begging you to stop, because "Maybe it's just a scratch" or something similar. And you ahve to keep clicking it, him begging you to stop the entire time, until the arm comes off, you bandage the wound, and presto, he survives!... but your relationship takes a hit when he doesn't agree with what you did. "You cut off my fucking arm man! How do we even know it had to be done?" I mean, losing a limb will be pretty horrific for anyone. In Lee's version, it was his choice, but if the choice wasn't up to the bitten character, how would they react when someone lopped their arm/leg off against their will? That character would be permanently one handed, or perhaps use crutches for the rest of their life.

This reminds me that that in episode 5, Kenny almost cut off Lee's arm until he wussed out (ahem, I mean until Lee woke up and Kenny changed his mind.) I wonder how Lee would have reacted if he woke up with his arm offed...

I couldn't find the scene on youtube, but there was a scene from the movie Master and Commander where a ship's surgeon had to amputate some kid's limbs. Pretty messed up scene.
