Actually I figured it out. I hit rewind and went to the previous chapter in the episode and everything worked from there. Had to replay a part of it, but thankfully not too much.

I verified the steam cache, everything looks good.

I did some digging and saw something with windows 8 (which I'm currently running) with a missing dll. I've attempted that fix and the issue...

TWD [Steam] Will Not Boot

Whenever I click play on steam, or through application .exe in my steamapps folder the game will not boot.

A process appears for a few seconds then disappears. I get no confirmation, no error...
