"Timber!" is what would commonly be shouted when someone is about to chop down a tree, as a warning so to speak. It's a joke because he replaces the end of the word with 'boing!' mimicking the sound...

It's ridiculous to even give it any thought, 'plot hole' is not the correct term because as many people have said the issue does not involve the plot at all, merely the mechanics of magical winds...
