Sorry to dive into a resolved thread, but I have a feeling that Belfast would be a controversial choice, since it's the capital of Northern Ireland (rather than the Republic of Ireland, whose capital is Dublin).
Clearly Strong Bad was in tune with the many cultural sensitivities that persist in this region, and picked a more general location name as a result.
