I suppose, though you could just as easily read that as; "I wanna play it in HD and on my TV". Call me an optimist I guess

Unfortunately no, while the PS3 is quite the beast, Sony limited Linux quite badly, in that they decided not to allow PS3 linux access to the graphics hardware. Meaning, anything that is 3D is pretty slow. Plus, PS3 linux is PPC rather than x86, so even if it had 3D capabilities, most commercial games wouldn't work.
