I don't know what API Adobe Flash uses. Since you have these crashes on both Windows installations I still believe it's more likely a hardware issue.
Did you run the
DirectX Updater on XP?
What Mainboard do you have (Manufacturer/Model)?
How old are your Mainboard and your PSU?
