Definitely nothing interesting in the event viewer. A bit disappointing, if you ask me. System probably halts before anything can be written. I will look for broken capacitors next. If I don't find any, I guess it's time to bite the bullet and plunk down another 65 dollars for a new video card... Many thanks.
