I get the joke, and it
is funny. But there is no evidence of that, really. Guybrush did use the skull of one of the skeletons in the corridors under Dinky/Monkey Island to make a LeChuck voodoo doll, but that only proves it to be from LeChuck's ancestor, not Guybrush's. He could be mistaken, and after all, how can someone recognize their own parents just by looking at their bare skeletons?
