I have to say, this is really interesting to read someone's thoughts on a game as they are playing it for the first time. I'm definately doing this myself on the next new game I play! I'm also glad to see that I wasn't the only one who saw right through Elaine when she 'betrayed' Guybrush... So many people were commenting here about how awful it was that she did that, and I was starting to wonder if it was just me! xD

It's not a name, as far as I know.
Guybrush's continued mangling always reminded me of that bit in Finding Nemo, when Nemo can't say 'anemone' either. Hooray for running gags!
ETA: Oh, I was beaten to the punch. xD But yes, it can be difficult to pronounce, hence the gag in Finding Nemo I mentioned.
