I am so embarassed that I am also stuck at this point, but I can't for the life of me figure out what to do next. The three points you raised were all things I know I need to think about, but I can't figure out what to do.
I'm pretty sure the lady dropped the newspaper, but i can't get anyone to read it.
I've talked out everything for everyone right now.
I've looked at the other 3 reels, but I need to know how to read the hieroglyphics to get any farther on 3 or 4, and I can't figure out what to do with 2 -- the ticket seller keeps on kicking me out of the train. I'm thinking I should hide us all in the can of nuts I assume I have, but I can't leave the dialouge to activate it without the guy busting in on me.
The hints are telling me to follow the mole lady, but I can't get anyone to tell me where she is, so I can't leave the theater.
I tried to bribe people with the cookies or get them to read the paper (over and over again, in the hopes something would change), but none of it works. I know there must be something obviously simple I'm missing. Please help!
