Coca-Cola found out that the "Coca-Cola light/ Diet coke" brand is used mostly by the female demographic, so they essentially invented the same thing for men, the taste of the stuff being of absolutely secondary importance. It shows us how the marketing world around us really works. If you look at the ads, you get a pretty clear picture.
