I suppose I misread that and thought Johro meant that the character
dies in the comics and so anyone who had read them would have expected it.
Now that I read it again, it makes more sense in the context of a Nolan-created character.
But I still say that I liked the character of Rachel Dawes as portrayed by Katie Holmes, while Maggie Gyllenhaal's appearance and voice (and perhaps a few other reasons) made me dislike her portrayal in TDK.
