There's no rule that says King's Quest must always be a P&C adventure. I mean, don't get me wrong, there should always be King's Quest P&C adventures but that doesn't mean you can't experiment with the odd offshoot. Just don't abandon the roots altogether. I'm not even against Telltale because they may turn King's Quest into another boring cinematic "adventure", I'm against them because their cinematic adventures suck. I'm not against change or variety just things that suck and aren't fun.
