Of course it does matter, it's in the end stats and the game will not forget.
I am sure that it has been answered before but it could be hard to find it.
@raspy_zo: Are you sure that the game registered it as a lie. I cannot remember the exact wordings, but Hershel will always lecture Lee, no matter if he lied or not.
