So abandoning the only shelter you have is better? Shooting for the unknown? What if they stumbled on some organized violent society like let's say.... Woodbury?
Lily tries to protect the group, Lily notices when somebody's stealing their supplies, she rations the food (not easy, ah?) and she still takes the blame for making decisions. Everybody complains but nobody wants to do it!
Kenny cares only about his family. Even before Lily killed Carley, he was ready to dump her in the Hotel just because he killed her dad and felt guilty. He ain't much of a team player.
Has Carley stepped up for taking some responsibility. It's really easy to be passive in situations like those and blame the ones who got to make the hard choices.
That's why none of them understand Lee either.
