No way, first of all, Vernon never gave any reason to trust him to such a high extent, and now that a Playing Dead episode revealed that he knew about the herd but still didn't warn Lee, I'm perfectly happy with my choice which involved telling him off. Another thing is that when he talks to you he acts as if he has a safe place, but they abandoned the bunker in Savannah after he saw the herd coming so his group isn't intrinsically safer or better off than mine.
Honestly, the guy comes off as self-righteous hypocrite to me now, he gets all upset if you're not perfectly honest to him even if the only dishonest thing you do is tell him Clem's your daughter, but then he doesn't warn you of the herd and doesn't tell you that his group is moving to a new place.
