they were mistaken, the shooting is still point and click based so it doesn't go exactly where the sights of the gun say it would, she can only ever get grazed in the shoulder (she punches a zombie with the same arm)
on topic, i wouldn't get lee to go on the boat, he is bitten, all i would want was for Clementine to be on the boat with people to protect her
