I spent my 21st birthday in a shop building christmas trees. The novelty has worn off a little this year
Also, I don't eat Christmas dinner (I am an extremely fussy eater). I usually just have a cheese and marmite sandwich whilst everyone else eats themselves sick on turkey and stuff.
But yeah, I remember my first christmas after I lost my dad was pretty hard. That was the year I learnt that Father Christmas does not exist. I ended up helping my mother with my sisters presents.. I think Christmas is as much a chance to forget the year past as it is to be with your family. You should concentrate on enjoying yourself with the family you do have. Visit some friends too. That's what we did.
"The universe has to move forward. Pain and loss, they define us as much as happiness or love. Whether it's a world, or a relationship...everything has its time. And everything ends."-Elizabeth Sladen: RIP.
