As you said, there are many different system configurations and the bugs affect only a small percentage of Mac users. They aren't waving you away, the Telltale staff is working on the problem. It's just hard for them to pin the problem down as the staff can't replicate the problem on their own Macs in the office and have to rely on user submitted data to try to find a solution (which is very difficult and time-consuming, but in this case, it's a necessity).

The latter problem has already been resolved. There has already been
a solution posted for the Xbox problem (and an alternate solution for people who don't want or can't afford the required hardware for the aforementioned solution).
