That's if Ben got dropped in Crawford. Right before arriving at the plank bridge across the rooftops, he says that Kat and him would lay in the RV at night, and every single night she'd give him hell for not being more considerate of others. Again, it was probably a lot of guilt over Shawn, Duck, and Kat, who he believes he got killed, so seeing another person (Ben or Christa) helpless, and about to be eaten by walkers while he just stood by, he decided to do something about it. And he ends up getting killed for it, which he probably doesn't care about very much given everything that happened on the group's tumultuous journey to Savannah.
