they could make a few episodes that were entirely about a whole new group of survivors that aren't connected to season 1 at all so we could get to know the new protagonist and their group, then we could save Clementine from danger creating an initial bond and trust (or maybe Clementine saves us), then whenever there are any links to season 1 (characters/locations) Clementine should say she knows about it then we could get the chance to ask her perspective on the things we see, i think her point of view would be interesting and it would also allow us to use our previous knowledge without it feeling like we are cheating, and also if Clementine's perspective was slightly different to ours from the first season we can choose to totally trust Clementine's perspective or make up our own mind based on the information we have and what we think the new protagonist would do based on what we have got to know about them.

or you could have Clementine in it from the start, but without any links to the first season for a while so we can get to know the new protagonist.

or it could be entirely new people without Clementine but for every time there was a link to the first season it would either have to be a subtle nod/reference or have someone or something explain the scenario that links to the first season so the new protagonist can be almost as informed about it as us
