Default W&G: Is my gamepad not supported?

I've heard that W&G plays better with a gamepad. I'm fine with that, but when I fire up the game, then start a new game, my gamepad has no effect. It seems no matter what I try, it just doesn't do anything. I've made sure I've got the latest software and all. Is there any way I can make the game work with my gamepad? If not, what controllers do work?

Thanks in advance.

hmm.... one, what kind of controller is it, like can you configure the buttons and so forth,
two, have you used this game pad for other games, or is it something you dug up from the attic?

I always forget the most basic stuff.

It's a Logitech WingMan Cordless Rumblepad. I actually just fired up Dreamfall the other day and tested it. Worked great. I'm running Vista Ultimate x64 too, if that matters.

Ok, can you configure the controls, or is it just a is spacebar and so forth?

I can map the controls to keys if that's what you mean.
