Default Wallace and Gromit won't Launch

When I start the game the launch menu pops up. The problem is after I click on the blue launch button the launch menu disappears and the game never starts. I have redownloaded and re-installed the game numerous times but the same thing happens. Any advice?

Hmm, there are a couple of things this could be. Let's try clean booting your computer to see if anything is interfering with the startup of the game:

To Boot Clean in Windows XP

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart
8. After reboot, run game to see if it works.

After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
3. Click OK
4. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

Ok, then I'll need to know a bit more about your computer.

Go to your Start menu and click on Run.
Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Then go to the Display tab
While here, the useful things for us:

Current Display Mode:
Main Driver:

Let's start by updating your graphics driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_182.50_whql.html

Do you have any kind of debugging tools (like Process Explorer) or cd cloning tools (like Daemon Tools or Alcohol)?

I don't have any of the programs that you named, but I don't know if I may have another debugging program. would there be a way to find out? or possibly a way to disable any?

If you don't know if you have any debugging software, then I can guarantee that you don't. The only other thing I can think of would be to re-update your DirectX. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

If that doesn't solve it for you, I'm afraid you are going to have to write in to support@telltalegames.com and ask them to refund your money. I can't think of any other reason why your computer shouldn't work. It seems to meet all of the standard reqs.
