Dear telltale
I recently (today) downloaded my pre ordered monkey island game, only to find that the menu's don't display properly and the game goes extremely slow. When I tried it on my laptop it just gave me an error message and closed. What is the matter? How can I download it properly?

Have you tried lowering the graphcs quality in the options menue ?
It starts out at 6 by default. Set it down to 1 and experiment which value gives you the best performance then. By the way: If this does not help the team might need your systemspecs and OS. A dxdiag report might be good aswell. http://support.eidosinteractive.com/...barticleid=344 |

I can't even do that,the arrows don't appear, only the text and a blank black background.

Sorry I was playing.
Maybe you can try my prefs.prob Its set to Quality 1 and 1024x768 Unzip and copy it to "my documnts"\Telltale Games\Launch of the Screaming Narwhal |
