Glass Breaker BUG???

I grabbed the unbreakable bottle with the scroll and spoke with the Glass Blower. He showed me the Glass Breaker but I never even obtained it. Next thing I know Guybrush has the Glass Breakder and did his thing.

Did I miss something or is that supposed to happen?

All I did was try to grab the Glass Breaker but the Glass Blower turned around and told me to stay away from it. Seconds later Guybrush magical had it and broke the bottle.

did he just break the bottle....or does he have the breaker in his inventory as well?....
you need it in your inventory

yeah i got that when i used the bottle on the breaker and was like huh? guybrush had it in his hand but it was still on the table also. im guessing a glitch. and me being me went back to my last save game and did the puzzle properly. to mrsbbc na i didnt see it in my inverntory. deffo a glitch

There have been quite a few posts about this already, it usually happens when you use the unbreakable bottle on the bottle breaker.

Sorry should have searched for it. But yes that's what happened to me. I used the unbreakable bottle on the bottle breaker.

Thats what I did....i don't see how its a glitch, although I was a little confused that my bottle broke so easily.

Anyways....regardless...for later on, you need to the breaker in your inventory, so completing it the 'glitch' way puts you at no advantage.

Its not a glitch though....don't you tell him there is a 3 headed monkey and sneak its use?

Yeah you tell him there is a 3 headed monkey and as you creep up he turns around and tells you to back off.

It has to be a glitch since you back off, plus once Guybrush pulls out the Bottle Breaker there is a Bottle Breakder still sitting on top of the box in it's place.

So it seems like there is a glitch since he reloaded the game and did the puzzle the right way.

Nah, when he picks it up that way, you can still see it on the stool even after he picks it up. You're supposed to get it by firing the cannon on the screaming narwhal.

Just completed the first episode and i experienced this bug. In fact I only found out I could get onto the ship near the end and by that time I had the bottle breaker. Of course i fired cannon and realised that was the correct way of obtaining it, not the glitch that can occur.
