1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ToMI me too

And I'm very satisfied with ToMI's Guybrush rendition and the game in general!

Probably, from best to worst:

MI2
MI1 and ToMI's first episode equally
MI5 (awful Vampire Rubber Chicken and Map Synchronous Quantum Purple Tentacle Catalyst puzzle tough)
EMI and CMI equally (I've very contrasting sentiments on EMI...)

ToMI has just begun anyhow! It well may run up the ladder!

2, 3, 1 (didn't finish it and can't remember it so tomorrow is extra good for me!), 4 for about an hour then gave up, TMI.

Enjoyed most in order:

2
3
1
TMI (BUT this is only one episode played so far and enjoyed very much, by the end of season 1 I could see TMI going up that chart and who knows, maybe we could have many seasons of MI if TTG produce the goods which I have a feeling they might just)
..
...
....
.....
EMI (bah, couldnt even navigate around the first scene properly)

I am still wondering if Lucasarts might make another MI game themselves soon, given the popularity of the franchise there is room for a Lucasarts full game and the TTG chapters but maybe I'm being greedy and more than a little crazy. Good to be Dominic right now I imagine and why not, the guy is very talented. This series would not have been same without him and he will breathe new life into the old via the remake(s).

4, 3, 1, 2, 5.

So Escape introduced me to the Monkey Island series, and yeah, I loved it. But things only got better once I tried the "not too graphically retarded" predecessor, as I happened to call it. All of a sudden, I felt like playing through the first two games just because I was so curious about the storyline.

This gave me kind of a split opinion about the ending of Monkey Island 2...
I loved the plot-twist that the game offered, and it sure would have been interesting to see where it had gone if things turned out to NOT be a curse. But at the same time, I didn't want anyone to "undo" Curse and Escape just because of it.

Today, I kinda realize how cheesy most of the stuff in Escape was. : S
It's still a lovely game, though.

Played SMI first, I saw the game when a guy from dad's office started playing it secretly in there. I kinda remember dad showing me the game and Prince also [I remember win95 as being quite new at the time ] . I was too young to finish such video games I guess hehe

I didnt realize the awesomeness of monkey island saga till a friend of mine give me demo disc of CMI. Soon after I bought the full game. I have played it like a maniac. Then got SMI and Revenge from this person. Finished it in order a few times more.

I refused to play EMI for loong time after watching gameplay video of first part. At first it didnt feel like the game I fell in love.

I dont remember what got into me but I bought it and finished it after some time anyway :P
It was okay I guess

EDIT: Oh and I enjoyed Chapter1 much

I played SoMI not too long after it came out (I think - I was only young) on the Atari ST.

I was then completely oblivious to any sequel until my uncle provided me with a pirate (oh the irony) copy of CMI.

Then I bought the Bounty Pack, and played LeChuck's Revenge

Then I got EMI when it came out! I went to PC World especially

So, in answer to the question, 1, 3, 2, 4.

I've since aquired the amiga versions (and an amiga, which helps) of both the early MI games, and a couple of other gems to add to my collection which I played through quite recently, but generally I've played through all four roughly once a year each since having them.

And no, I'm not an EMI hater, just a Monkey Kombat hater lol

I'm quite happy to say it was SoMI, MI2:LR, CoMI, EfMI, ToMI. I first played SoMI in '92, and MI2:LR sometime around '96. Up until that point, I had no idea a sequel existed and only found out because of the news of Curse of Monkey Island. Luckily the gaming magazine I read about it in included SoMI and MI2:LR, as well at the CoMI demo.

3, 2, 4, 1, Tales.

I managed to get Revenge from Lucas Arts online, but I could never find a copy of Secret until very recently.

For me, the first of the Monkey games I played was LeChucks Revenge, in the early 90s on our Amiga - although NONE of us could bloody complete it and i don;t think I finished it until years later! We always got to the part where youre underground and Lechucks chasing you with the lift and the glove and all that and then couldn't complete it! Then my Dad went and bought Secret and I played both in the 90s until...
Curse came out after playing the demo for a few months we got that too. Then Escape finally. Then I bought the PC versions of the first two games and replayed them!
I played Secret first a little but not so much because it wasnt my game.
Then Curse, then Escape.
Never played Lechuck2, want to but canīt find it to buy somwhere
And of course now I played Tales chapter 1.
