I've always been a console gamer. TOMI is my first PC game. I bought Sam & Max on the 360 after playing TOMI on my PC, and I have to say that adventure games just feel right on the PC. That's my newbie opinion anyway.

I just played the opening scene, and the frame rate issues and extremely compressed audio are more than noticeable.

However, those two points didn't put a damper on my day. What really put a damper on my day is the fact that this game crashed. I've been at this loading screen for ten minutes now. Talk about awkward. o_o

I like the control set-up on the WiiWare version.

Yeah, the controls are really nice on the Wii.

I agree, to me the control system felt more comfortable with the Nunchuk and Wii Remote over the WASD/mouse implementation.

Alrighty, I'm going to try again, this time by adjusting a few settings on my Wii.

I downloaded the wii ware version and I am very disappointed! The sound and the video lag is just to much. I wish there was away to get my money back! Dont get me wrong I loved the game on the PC but it has no business on the wii if its going to look and sound like this. I refuse to buy any other episodes for the wii if this is what i am going to be getting!

I'm afraid that if Nintendo doesn't raise the filesize limit for WiiWare games, each episode will have the same choppiness, compression problems, and blurry textures.

Gonna wait for new wii before that could happen though.

Agreed 100%. After looking forward to this for so long, I ended up turning off the game after about 20 minutes - the flaws are just too much to make it enjoyable.

nintendo need to get their act together! the file size limit was meant to (apparently) help indie developers prosper and not get outdone by the.. Uh.. Better developers!

But when what could be the wii's best selling wiiware game of the decade is barely playable in parts, specifically compared to the pc, we have a bit of a problem :-(

when i heard this was a wiiware title i could imagine thousands of 'newbies' joining the ranks of both mi fans and ttg fans.

Please nintendo sort this out and support your developers!!

I'm really depressed by what I'm reading here. I hoped so much that this will be the breakthrough adventure games needed.

We're all a little sad about it, I think.

I think they should've waited and released a disc version of the whole season, maybe it'd at least be a little better then.

That sucks. Though I hope TellTale don't water down the rest of them to cater to this

I don't want to be all doomy'n'gloomy, but if the accelerated schedule doesn't allow for a careful port, perhaps future episodes will be made even less complex graphically. I mean smaller locations, less variety in character models, fewer animations, and so on.

I really don't think that will happen, the PC version is and has always been their priority.

I hope that continues to be the case.

At least those who got the Wii version can comfort themselves with the fact that you only bought one ep, not the whole season. And the complete season on PC will still cost you less than the remaining 4 Wii chapters. Think about it.

I looked up a video of the Wii version on youtube (link)

And the mentioned things (framerate, sound horribly static) seem okay.
Can't say anything about the subtitles though as the person recorded it used a camcorder or something.

I didn't try the Wii version, but I have a question to the people who did and have problems with it : are you playing from the Wii hard-drive or from the SD card ?

Gee... could they release a patch? I don't know how the wiiware thingie works (I have a wii, but it's not connected to the internet). Let's write to Nintendo! Ask them to allow the games more space! 40Mb is awfully low if you ask me! I've seen fangames that take up to at least 200 Mb.
