Spoilers! Steam machine and Sand trap

I'm stuck. I can't figure out how to pull the lever to get out the tea cup without the golf club.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

It took a lot of "combine x with y", all over the rooms, but I found it!

You need to use the ball polisher on the tea-time bell.
If you don't have it, look all over the main room.

It should be straight-forward after that.

It wasn't much of a logical thing to do.

I would have never thought of that on my own! Thank you!

Is it weird that this seemed logical to me? I thought of it right off the bat. Maybe cuz I was really looking for something to do with that polisher?

Stuck here too. Ohhhh I get it, the 'up-down' motion keeps pulling the bell. I swear I tried that though, I thought I tried everything on everything...

Still, I might've thought of it if I'd actually had some hints instead of annoying repeating screeching voices bellowing in my ear.

Agreed, Tingler... I actually had to come to the forums to get the answer - because I didn't notice that you could get Gromit over to where the ball polisher was. I probably /should/ have, because this final puzzle is very much like the end of The Last Resort (i.e. constantly moving scenery, so you have to move Gromit against the flow to get to the appropriate objects)

I actually quite liked the Sand trap puzzle - because it wasn't simply just shuffling people around, you had to make Wallace avoid two other characters which required a bit of thinking...

I also liked that puzzle, especially when you lined up two of the characters and they made-up with each other - like when you put Miss Flitt and Duncan together and they get back together. Or Mr Paneer and Constable Dibbins.
