Default Telltale I want to serenade my love for you under a full moon!

Hello!

Words can't express my gratitude for the games telltale makes! Sam n' Max are ingenious games and I really love them all, and now Monkey Island my favourite game of all time comes back to life! Thank you thank you thank you!

It seems to me that as video games become more and more popular and widespread, the mainstream games that come out, are getting more and more pointless and boring. All those super-marine space shooters that come out in dozens and receive rave reviews leave me completely cold. As much as games evolve technicaly the worst they become storywise and the less they engage your mind...

So in a way for all of us gamers who love smart, inovative, funny, and mentaly chalenging games telltale is a bright light in a dark night, an oasis in a hot desert, a diamond in a sewer, an episode that makes sense in Lost, a swiss cheese that's always on time, a rotoscope in a sea of petri dishes, our friend, our lover, the smile on a raccoon's face, our mother, it's US.

what was the subject again? ah yes...thank you telltale!

Ahem.

And Telltale, while amazing as they are, doesn't have the monopoly on good, intelligent games. Though I do love their titles all the same.

I can't really think of any other adventure game titles I'm excited about. Action/adventures? Not interested in Brutal Legend until it comes to PC, and who knows when Deathspank'll be released and if it'll even be good. I guess Pirates of Voojoo Island/AVS2, but nothing I'm anticipating with any real interest like Episode 2 of TMI.

There are some German games that are out there that look awesome but they're not in English yet. (Huh. Apparently The Whispered World is not German but is merely still in production.)

Aye, I wish I could speak German. Japanese and Spanish would be nice too, while I'm hypothetically instantly learning all these languages.

I entertain the idea for five minutes then realize that as a non-native speaker I would not get all the jokes and no video game is so good it's actually worth learning all those languages. It'll either eventually come out with subtitles in English or someone will make an unofficial fan-sub version of it.

Have you ever noticed subtitles are less annoying in games that have foreign voice over instead of empty silence? I have no idea why that is.

Hmm, I wonder what the legality of marrying an entire game company is. Get a lawyer in here, stat!

Your kids will be the creepiest things I've ever seen. And on the subject of children.....um....nevermind.

I couldn't agree more. Games lately are more about effects, graphics and cool cinematic sequences. The stories suffer from this and are usually shallow and full of cliché’s. Its so bad in fact that when a game comes out with a even half decent premise its story is raved about as being deep when infact its not.

Adventure games, like 2D games as well, died a premature death. There's plenty of room in adventure games to innovate and expand upon. Plus with the current technology we can only dream how good a adventure game could look and what is even possible.

I just hope the numbers are there for TellTale to continue.

It was legal, until Prop 8 passed. No man-videogame company unions allowed anymore...
