It's actually a lot more work then one might think with fixing scripts/typos etc in games. I've been involved in a few game projects and getting all the grammar, spelling and typos corrected out of the text is a lot of work. Many hours
That said, you don't release something in that state. At least there is no one who coded "you did the wrong thing you retard" every time someone fails, I recall how much fun it was removing all those messages from the code in one of the games..
