Default References to other games in Ch. 5

Some people mentioned Loom which I am going to have to agree with 100 percent. The holes in between the two realms are definitely inspired by that game.

Also, the dog with the paper- puzzle almost directly from MI2.

Obviously the swordfighting.

Anything else?

The Coke-ish Grog Machine was almost-but-not-quite directly out of Stan's shop in SMI. Except with added Grog XD, which was awesome.

Holes between realms as also seen in Sam & Max (Bermuda Triangles), Pullman's "His Dark Materials books", Portal ( ) and many, many more...

MI2: Guybrush singing "Dry Bones" and then complaining about how he can never remember the words

CMI: "'I can't use the skeleton arm with that.' Heh."

and then while chewing some ABC gum: "Augh, this one had a tooth in it!"

The banang in Club 41 is an obvious Sam and Max reference.

Guybrush says "Papapishu" when touching the cutlass as a zombie!

The ferryman is obviously based on the Lost Welshman from CMI.

If you use the jeweled anchor with the skull on the sign you get a pretty amusing reference to CMI

Guybrush pulls out and puts on a helmet/pot just before he is shot out of the cannon. Need I say what this is a reference to?

Yeah the very start of the chapter made me think of Secret with the Grog Machine placed in a position so similar to that of Stan's place. Plus as mentioned the Ferryman and Lost Welshman connection.
