I've got the seesaw made, and I ask Elaine to light the cannon, but when it's lit and I try to step on the seesaw LeChuck gets me.

Help?

You're almost there!

You just need to make sure LeChuck throws you down from the area above the cannon, rather than from the crow's nest. Guybrush won't step onto the seesaw unless he's just come from that area above the cannon.

If you don't know how to get to the right area: use the hook on the rope to slide down from the crow's nest.

I found that, while you can't walk at any point during the battle, using the arrow key or mouse drag to "walk" onto the see-saw appeared to be necessary for me to get this to work

I didn't have to do that. You just have to be quick. I didn't think the arrow keys worked at this point anyway.
