It's not enough that my PC is too crappy to handle TMI, but once the Wiiware game is released, I have to wait a week for Nintendo to release it in PAL regions.

MY LIFE IS SO TERRIBLE.

Well, the european Wiiware releases for february 5th are out, however ToMI 5 is not among them.
Nintendo has become quite unreliable.
Well, here`s to another week of waiting *chugsanotherbeer, partlyoutofdepressionbecauseofth isdisaster*

Apparently somebody thought we'd be happier with a Frogger game.

Dear Telltale-team, and dear Nintendo of Europe,

Well, frustrating does not cover it anymore.

I know, dear Telltale-team, that you do what you can to get the Wii-ports out the door and to your loyal fans as fast as magically possible, but I hope you'll also admit that Nintendo is not doing a great job selling your product, and not really making an effort in generating return on your investment.

To be perfectly honest, this is how I feel: I'm a great fan of the Wii. I'm a great fan of Telltale-games. Being able to play a great adventure from the comfort of my couch, and not behind the screen of my Mac or PC, is a great pleasure.

But, by choosing to support the Wii-version, and being a European consumer, I end up getting a pretty bad deal:

1. The Wii-version is (much) more expensive: 50 euro for 5 Wii-chapters, vs. 26 Euro for PC/Mac. I pay twice (!) as much for the total game on Wii, and ultimately get even less value, since PC/Mac-users can get the free bonus-dvd. No bonus dvd for us EU Wii-gamers who loyally spent 10 Euro/14 USD for each release.

2. I am not part of the Telltale-community: The Telltale-gamer community is a tight-nit community, and an important asset to Telltale as a developer. I, as an EU-consumer feel completely left out of the community, and am even inclined to stay away from reading the forum: while all the US-fans are playing and commenting, I sit here waiting for something to happen in the EU-WiiWare store. No way to contribute, and all the perks for US and PC/Mac-gamers just get rubbed in my face.

3. Nintendo is not willing to sell me the EU-Wii version in a timely fashion, even though Telltale has supplied it to them. Am I such an unvalued consumer that it's necessary to charge me more than US-based consumers, for a product that's delivered later?

4. Nintendo is not making an effort to support legal EU consumers: the lack of information from NoE regarding why they choose not to release the games, or when they are planning to release it, makes me feel like an idiot for supporting them and handing over my money. I get the feeling for being punished for wanting to support a platform I love and a company I would like to love, but simply cannot anymore.

My conclusion of the above: if I want to keep playing and enjoying TellTale-games in Europe, playing on my Mac/PC will get me my games faster, much cheaper, with higher visual quality, better performance, and I support one of my favorite developers directly.

With pain in my heart and a tear in my eye I have to admit: Nintendo, this loyal and faithful fan can no longer say a positive word about how you treat me as a consumer, so therefore I guess it's better to say nothing about you at all anymore.

And to Telltale-games: I'm having a great time playing ToMI, thank you for making it, and Thank You for trying to get this game to an EU-based fan. However, I feel stupid for wanting to play it on the Wii from the comfort of my couch, and am honestly, truly bummed out that I invested in the Wii-version. ( I WANT that bonus-dvd dammit!)

Thank you for listening.

I jumped ship to PC around the launch of ch4 (but before Ch3 on wiiware), and never looked back. I even hooked up my laptop to my HDTV, with my wireless keyboard/mouse so i wasn't missing anything. You'd be surprised how well a mouse works on a sofa. The best thing is that i got all the PC versions, plus the Season DVD (when thats out that is) plus the first two wiiware episodes for the price of all five wiiware episodes.

I would reccommend you stay with PC for all future non-simultaneous TTG releases. The atmosphere on launch day/evening is stupendous, i just regret i was only there for the last two chapters.

AArrgghh! This is driving me nuts! I have been a loyal ninty fan since the days of 64 but I can't wait for chapter 5 much longer.
I discovered telltale games and played the first 4 chapters back to back.
I became a member here just to find out where 5 is! Now I feel like I am missing out on more

Yeah, I guess you're right, there's likely a lot of EU-gamers on the forum. I should have said "EU-Wii consumer" :-)

I just meant that it feels crap if you see all the threads about everyone's experiences playing a new chapter, while I'm staring at the EU-WiiWare store looking at a new version of Frogger on offer. Oh joy... :-)
