Apart from Star Trek, that is.

In the Options screen of Sam & Max Episode 1, there is a box to check to turn on Warp Drive. But I can find no explanation of what this feature is.

In fact, where is the documentation for Sam & Max? I don't see it in-game, nor on the website. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

That's there in case we ever need another option. And it enables the warp drive.

That doesn't sound serious, not to mention it (apparently) sped up Sam and Max on lengthy trips from say the office street to Bosco's.

The closest I can recall to an odd choice like that was like the 3D acceleration on Monkey Island's 3rd game.

That was a placebo effect.

It really doesn't do anything.
