Well so's Kate and Sawyer, but I don't see how it ties into John Locke's voluptuous body.

Anyway, The Man in Black has all the lsoers of the group Kate, never been a good character. Claire crazy Autralian tart, ran around shouting "AAAAROON" for about 65% of the screen. Sawyer, formerly the coolest character on the island til he started getting all moody and punching mirrors and giving absouletly everyone the crazy eyes

Jacob's got Ben. Game over

I feel robbed of the time it took to watch five seasons just to make my very first hunch about what the island was about to prove correct. I mean seriously, how can this steaming pile of a show be so predictable? I had such high hopes at some point that there was something actually interesting going on, instead of this christian battle in limbo.

You figured out it was a battle between good and evil on a scale of biblical proportions from the start? If I were you i'd be all "YES!!! CALLED IT!!"

I'm not sure if that's sarcasm or not, because it really did seem like the most obvious choice for what's going on. The flashbacks from the start pointed out that many of the people on the original flight who ended up on the island all did something extraordinary in their life that they shouldn't have been able to (Jack miraculously healing a paralyzed woman, Hugo using the magical numbers), some had dark pasts so that the island could be seen as their punishment (Kate, Sayid, Sawyer), others were just plain desparate/disturbed (Claire, Charlie, Locke). These miracles/extreme situations ended up taking these people into a magical place between heaven and h... I mean life and death. It seemed too obvious that I refused to believe it could be that simple. The Widmore / Others / Dharma storylines seemed to take the story to a different direction and I was very happy, but suddenly with Season 6 this seems like some religious propaganda.

Jacob is God, the Smoke is the Devil. Seriously? And they said they probably won't even explain the numbers. Give me a break. I feel like I've been cheated somehow. Currently, the good guys, Hugo, Jack, Sun & Jin etc. who didn't do bad things in their previous life are with God (in addition to Judas, I'm sorry I meant Ben), and the bad guys, Sawyer, Kate, Sayid and the insane, Claire, Locke (well okay he's dead but still), are with the evil smoke thing whose name can't be mentioned. And who goes by many names. And who is evil.

I will watch this to the end since there isn't that much left, but I'm hugely disappointed at the series right now. I hope I'm horribly wrong with where this is going.

Well yes but why specifically 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 will probably never be explained, according to some interview. Or why the candidates have numbers in the first place. Or why the numbers aren't in order, what determines that one of them is 4 and one of them is 23, not the other way around. Or why using the numbers in the real world has magical powers.

I'm rooting for Cindy the flight attendant. She's the brains behind the entire story.

They picked 4, 8, 15, 16 and 23 because they were found frequently throughout the first few episodes, and they picked 42 because someone on the team was a huge fan of Douglas Adams.
