Default SamNMax ep5: Another Access Violation

Was playing Sam and Max episode 5 when I got an access violation at the following point:

Used Respect for Living Things on the Internet. After the Internet says "You are not dead" it goes black and the following error dialog pops up:

Error: Access violation at 0x0059FE1F (tried to write to 0x00000000), program terminated.

Running WinXP Pro SP2

Does it happen consistently at that spot?

Did you try changing DEP settings as described here?

Yes, it keeps crashing at that spot, even after a reboot.

And yes, I added it to the DEP disable list as well to no avail.

I suppose I could try to reinstall it in case there's a corrupt file. Can I just do a reinstall, or do I need to make a backup of my save files?

A reinstall shouldn't overwrite your saves, but you might as well back up your saved games. It's easy to do, just back up anything from the Reality 2.0 data folder that ends in .save.

Really? Hmm... I wouldn't have expected that.

But glad it worked.
