Finding the Ring
Okay. So I knocked out the gorillas in Boscotech Lab. However, I know I'm supposed to pick up a ring. I can't find it anywhere. Where do I find it?

Up on the roof of Boscotech there is a pigeon on the banner with a "harrass" option and he is holding "shiney object." This is the ring. Once harrassed the ring will be dropped onto the pavement near the gorillas.

This may not be the same in your case, but I noticed I had to actually drive to Boscotech labs rather than teleporting there for the pigeon with the ring to appear. The ring is very obvious and you should see it right away.

I am pretty sure the means to get there isn't important, but the pigeon only appears after a specific story-event...
Talking to the brain I think, atleast when the gorilla's appear... |
