Apart from this, I think it could work game wise if you assume that Sam and Max are able to communicate telepathically, and Max shape shifts his body from whatever location he's at. Sam could carry around Max' body in his inventory and use the various forms it takes as an inventory item.

It would be nice if a few of the guys at Telltale took a day or so to make the poster for 303 so it can be released BEFORE the ep. itself came out.
But that's if they put it as a higher priority and get it done soon.
It would cause more excitement...
As well as various other things to happen to some people...

The reason WHY it is called 5 o'clock shadow is that, when you shave every day, and you shaved that morning, it grows that way by 5 o'clock that evening. So, by definition, it DOES grow in under a day in real life.

*checks Surfin' the Highway* ... Whoops! Yep, you're right. Looking at The Big Sleep, I think that's where I got the idea he only had two, along with drawing him that way myself for so long. I'll be over in the corner later, giving my eye for detail a few good pokes.

It's not weirder than the moustache

The way I see it, he's got short fur there, and can grow a beard that's longer and as a result it looks darker. Because it's longer so it creates more shadow! Perfectly logical.

He is just wondering how he cuts it without cutting off the rest of his hair there. My guess is that he meticulously trims it EVERYDAY, but I don't know how correct that is.

At the very least it's plausible, considering a lot of men do just that.

It's for the next episode, I'm not really sure if it's Sam. I'm in the middle road of hoping he is and not.

Well, on the off-chance he isn't our Sam -- and I'm almost positive he is -- having a noir-esque doppelganger running around would make for an easy transition into the clone plot thread for Episode 4. Although what little we've seen of the clones so far makes them look like complete dopes. (On the other hand, the two don't have to be mutually exclusive, if things are twisted a bit further. Hmm ... )

The exactly thing you just said. In fact, I'm somewhat hoping those clones have, in some way, a diferent version of Sam's personality each one, and the Noir!Sam desing (AND Sameth's, but the film thingie was totally unexpected and awesome) was feeding my hopes about it. Trust me, I fully support the classes with Flint Paper he looks like he will have, but at the same time, I was thinking in something different. Either way, I'm sure is going to be awesome =P.

Very interesting theory - personally I want to see the return of Skunkape properly but from what he says, it seems like body swapping will be a theme.

Well, they have done body-swapping before, in 203. It´s a possibility
