I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can't find the menu from which I'm supposed to drag logs for puzzle 2. I have dual 16:10 widescreen monitors, so I don't know if something is being cut off or not drawn correctly...

How odd. Though I'm kind of having the same problem. For me there's no sound options showing up or to exit the game "yes" and "no" don't show up either (asking if I want to quit) and if something's to show up when you select a profile it's completely blank other then Nelson's picture.
I'm currently experimenting a bit trying to figure out some remedies, but haven't found one yet.

I don't remember a menu in the first log puzzle.
If you can't figure it out, then idk

Several other Telltale games crash on my system when I have more than one monitor activated, so you might try to disable the second display and see what happens then.
