Seconding the notion that those Sams are somehow related to Anubis. I've had my suspicions ever since playing the episode, and there was some discussion on the matter over on the Speculation Thread.

Then again, I just really want one of my crackpot theories to be true

Innnnnteresting question. And who said we'll never be using astral projection again?

Answers (of a sort) will be coming in the fifth episode. Promise.

That's a very good question. It's answered after the first act.

Hey all,

Sorry I've been out of touch for the past couple o' days, but I've been a little busy fixing some hint bugs for episode five, churning out a few pickup lines for Sam, and taking meetings down at Universal for the Other Game with the Cool Car that Starts with a "De."

I'll now pause for a second while you collectively play Vivaldi's Concerto for the World's Tiniest Violins in D Minor...

Now that you're mentally back, here's the title card for episode 4, the first of a few pieces of teaser art we'll be trickling out this week.

I can guarantee that you will discover what the Devil's Playhouse is by the end of the season.

I mean, aside from the allusion to those beloved old television shows...

Pickup lines for Sam?! HA! I knew that gag in the first episode was gonna be true! I need to go bug Light_Rises about it.

You have not revealed the answer to my question, yet enticed me so much more to learn the answer. Expertly handled!

And I believe that is my favorite title card so far! Extra stylish.

I try never to laugh at people who keep my babies fed. It just seems like a bad policy.

That said, a few of your guesses are uncomfortably close, which I'll choose to attribute to our clever foreshadowing rather than our butt-simple plotting.

If you can tell it in a good way, I'll not mind either option. I enjoyed even simpler plots just because that those were handle it right. And, for the moment, I'm not dissappointed by the slightest.

Either his sons are like, 7, or we're going to have to invent T 15+ for this

It's the shiny underpants, isn't it? Kids can't see that.

Unless those pick-up lines are REALLY dirty.

This was somewhat difficult to find, but here's an idea about how old his Twins are.

There is no smiley large enough to express the magnitude of the mental raspberry I'm sending your way. Feel free to use your imagination.

(Also, it could be part of a ruse on Sam's part. It proves nothing, I tell you! Nothing! And you did not notice me visibly shift in my seat once Mike mentioned the pickup lines. Nuh-uh. Nooope.)

Agreed. Simple or complex, execution is still key. And unless or until most (as opposed to a few) people get uncomfortably close with their guesses, I wouldn't worry a whole lot about the plotting starting to show too much of its hand.

Questions ... hmm. I can't think of much I'd want to know about before playing the episode -- I thrive on surprises and mindless speculation! -- buuuuut there's one thing I've been wondering about: Stinky's ability to hear the Alien Brain in 301. Throwaway gag, or something more? Or something that doesn't matter anyway since that timeline no longer exists?

So I take it I was the only one that read "pick-up lines" as a production term meaning extra dialog that they can insert where needed? I guess my mind isn't as dirty as I thought.
