Default Bugs in boxes ad infinitum!

After finishing Puzzle Agent yesterday, I had a hankering for more puzzles, so I hacked together an on-line version of Bugs in Boxes with an infinite puzzle supply: click to play! (Excuse my crude programmer art; it was done in KolourPaint.)

Besides playing, you can edit your own puzzles, or have them generated randomly. Puzzle codes can be used to recreate particular puzzles. For example, these correspond with the three original puzzles from the game:And these are nice ones too:
  1. ulbaac0x
  2. lj0fllbc
  3. darcrtac
  4. t0crcdlr
  5. facyr0da
Find any other good ones? Post the puzzle codes here!

(This one has two solutions, but one uses fewer fence pieces.)

How many... How many... How many bugs in a box?

(If anyone can find me the actual song, they win.)

FWIW, I've been playing the Windows & Palm/Android versions of Galaxies for ages - it's similar to "Bugs in Boxes", but instead of boxes of a given size you need to fill the whole playfield with symmetric shapes around the marked center points. Highly addictive...

np: Autechre - no border (Move Of Ten)

Try a different browser. It may well be broken on Internet Explorer, which I can't test with, but it works for me on Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Konqueror.
edit: and Safari apparently.
edit 2: and Internet Explorer 8 now too.

My own attempt. Pretty easy but I quite liked it.

And one that I think is tougher.

Nice ones! I actually thought the first one was pretty tricky...

Some nice other ones:
  • fbalfbji (this one can be really easy if you see it immediately, but it took me a while!)
  • cal0xw0c

By the way, I managed to get it to work in Internet Explorer 8. If you're still using an older version, it really is time to upgrade.

Nice! I especially like levelcodes, why do you need a number *thinking* ah okay this way, a position encodes three fields with three states and so you need 27 varitions... :O)

One nice thing about you all posting these . . . I'm getting pretty good at strategizing them instead of just blind guessing! So if there's another Puzzle Agent episode, and there are more bug puzzles, I'll be all ready!

(I know, in reality, they'll change the rules!)
