Default Internal Error

Hi,

My notebook stucks when I try to run the ToMI. The inititial screen starts without problem. I click "Play Game". It's thinking, thinking, goes black screen. Than it blinks white and grey and then I almost can't do anything. I can notice 'internal error', but have to turn off the computer to get it running again. I have HP Compaq 6710b. Does it mean my graphic card is of no use for this game? Any help?

Intel chipsets are not supported by TTG, but some people got it somewhat working with the GMA 965.

Try the latest Intel Graphics driver.
Make sure to run the DirectX updater.
And make sure you have at least Internet Explorer 8 installed.

A full dxdiag log can also help.

dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.

Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

Then zip the file and attach it to a reply in this Thread.

Intel® Driver Update Utility tells me:

A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

I've downloaded the installer via your link but it won't install saying the it has not been proven safe for this computer and I should contact manufacturer.

So I've installed the lates version from HP site: 6.14.10.5043.

I've updated DirectX.

Right now there is some result when I try to run it. Although I see everything blured, shaking and twice side by side. But at least I can choose 'Quit' and my computer doesn't go dead.

Can I force instaling latest drivers? And is it safe?

DxDiag is attached.

Try reducing the graphics quality first.

changing the graphics quality
Start the game.

Select "Settings". Click the red arrows until you see "graphics settings".
Set "quality" to 1 and test the game. If you want increase it as long as it runs well.
Reducing the resolution might further increase the games performance.

It is unlikely that something seriously breaks, but you should know how to fix your windows installation just in case.

You can follow the manual installation steps.

You'll need the Zip Version of the driver.
