I've heard that the Wii game is an atrocity with respect to the Playstation 2/N64 standard graphics and gameplay is lack luster at best because of the awkward physics of the controls. The DS game was enjoyable but nothing essential. Personally, it feels as though they were trying to get a game out in time for the Christmas rush. The game would have been better as a point and click game, like Broken Sword.

The gameplay looks horrible on the Wii. Makes you wonder why they had to overcomplicate things like this too use the Wii-controls.

I agree with TryWhistlingThis, the game would have been much better as a Broken Sword-like game. In fact, I'm surprised they didn’t do like that from the start. They even got Charles Cecil working for them on the episodic games. Just remember to tell him "No 3D".

Speaking of the games, the last Adventure game episode is out now (in the UK). It's called "Shadows of the Vashta Nerada". You can download it on the doctor who website (bbc.co.uk/doctorwho)

So... avoid the Wii game (that video is shocking. Just shocking), give the DS one a rent and get the latest TAG. Gotcha. Will report back on 'Shadows of the Vashta Nerada' in due course.

Just finished "Shadows of the Vashta Nerada", and I have to say, i'm pretty impressed. Aside from minor things (corridors containing Vashta Nerada seemed to be the same brightness as those that didn't, for example), it was generally pretty good. Probably the best of the bunch!

That title makes me frown. It's almost like a pun but more... redundant.

Do Vash Narada live in other Vash Narada's shadows?

See that's the other thing, I don't think they actually cast shadows so much as that they resemble shadows. Bah.

Yeah, 'Shadows' is probably the best of the four. Only real complain (apart from all the damned stealth, but that's more a personal grudge then anything else) is the sheer size of the base. So... many... corridors... It's like after 'TARDIS' and its pathetic two rooms, they decided to overcompensate here. Also, the ending is a massive anticlimax. But meh.

And the Vashta Nerada live in the shadows.

The first thirty second of that footage is enough to reach into the screen and knock the Doctor's oversized noggin off his shoulders. That's before even discussing the annoying "TAKE COVER!!!" and the awkward physics of something simple as walking. Morally offensive to gamers and DW fans everywhere.

Wow. I hadn't noticed that! He's my second favourite Doctor too.

In other news, The eigth doctor adventures have started airing on the radio again. One's available on the iplayer now (although, it's the second part of an episode).

Good news, American people! From a recent interview thing:

"And plans are in the works for season six of "Doctor Who" to be broadcast the same day in the United States as well, said de Croce."

I think they've got rid of the limit on regens now. It was a limit placed by the Time Lords, and since they're not around any more the Doctor can regen as many times as he likes - as far as I remember, anyway.

Midnight was a great episode, all the better for being a single-room story for most of the time. It was incredibly tense, helped by some decent acting. Of course, it was scripted for budgetary reasons. Because there were lots of big budget, effect-laden episodes, they needed to write one that didn't cost much. Midnight was the result.

Instead of saying "one more sleep till Christmas," all day I've been saying "one more sleep till Doctor Who Day"!
