I would love any feedback on this issue! I used Hemlock's map and found the ancient portal. I didn't realize what I needed to do at the portal and left. Now, looking at the walkthrough, I know what to do...But the Map to get me back to the portal is no longer in my inventory. I can't go on without proving DeSinge is behind the winds....so how do I get back? Or is this a glitch in the game? I tried using just the wind device to lead me through the jungle, but without the map to activate the path at the altar, it just led me back out of the jungle. Do I just have to start over?

You should be able to just go to the portal while you're on the overworld.

Oh haha! I found it! Its labeled "Giant Doorway!" I never even noticed that! Thanks anyway.

Hi everyone! I've got quite the same problem, but I never found the portal... once I run around the stone calendar and then go north, I find myself at the vodoo lady's house and where's the portal???

I THINK you're supposed to check the wind while you're standing at the wheel.
