Default Bundling Console Versions with TTG Season Purchases?

What is the feasibility of offering game bundles on the TTG web shop containing the PC/Mac versions along with redemption codes for the console versions?

I think it would be extremely convenient to TTG's customers to offer, for example, the PS3 version of The Devil's Playhouse in the web shop. It could be discounted if you already own the full season of the PC/Mac version*, or offered as a bundle with the full season if you don't.

There's also the option of offering the console versions separately, but since I'm not familiar with the pricing or feasibility of producing redemption codes, I'm under the impression that it may be easier to just let those purchases occur through the PS Store/Xbox Live/iTunes, rather than waste codes.

I'd say $10 per upgrade would be fair, but pricing is completely up to Telltale if they decide to do something like this; $10 per purchase may not be able to cover the cost of distributing a copy of the console version.

Thoughts, anyone?

* This would be in the same vein as the Season Upgrades, where if you already own one episode, you could get the rest of the season at a discount; if you already own the full season of TDP, the PS3 version would appear as an upgrade.

Logistically it's very hard, because the console storefronts are operated by competing businesses. Its like asking one of two competing local shops to give you their products for free because you purchased something from their competior.

I think it would be easier for Telltale to offer a redemption code foth the PC/Mac version when you buy the console version than the other way around.

Maybe not the best strategy for them to make money, but much easier for sure...

I just wish you could pre-order the console versions and get the disc at the end like the pc version gets

I would say use PS3 Steamworks to offer content on both PC and Steam.

Except the technology's still only spanky new and i'm sure it's highly tweaked to only suit Portal 2 for the time being let alone third part apps.

And of course that'd be encouraging people away from your own store where you make that extra 30% or whatever cut Steam takes and opens up direct communications between you and the customer

Clearly this is an excellent idea and must be implemented posthaste. On the plus side I think it would be super-duper cooley cool cool-aid, and i'd love you all for being stand-up guys and gals
