It wasn't the millenium when movie-, music-, book- or gamemakers decided "Hey, great idea guys: Less quality/soul/art, more money, eh? Who's with me?". But with the internet, I find it far, far easier than in my younger days to listen to music before I buy, evaluate a book or game or movie before I spend money on it. Of course, I won't praise the Net as the best thing ever. It has massive downsides. It's Pandora's box, so take the good and try to stay away from the bad as much as possible.

I won't go into internet communication and say that it's "shallow". That's a completely different discussion. I like my privacy, that's why I don't go spreading my real name, location or pictures in the forums, but I still love discussing with new people, and I can hardly find that shallow.

I might begin to list great music, movies, games etc. that were done in the last years, but it all comes down to individual taste. I don't think listing individual favourites serves this thread right... there are other threads dealing with that.

...and when you're praising Harvey Keitel, would you spell his name correctly? Sorry for that.
Damn, I always spell it wrong, just like I misspell their wrong at times.

At least you had a game boy!!!! I would literally call over at my friends house when I was 7 just to play on his game boy (what a good friend I was lol) because my stepfather wouldn't let me buy one with money I'd saved up.

I also remember being obsessed with the first Nintendo console that came out in 89 I think it was. Before that I had an Atari and was bored crapless of it.

Centipede is great, but you need a trackball to do it right.
