The New York Senate has voted yes on gay marrage.

Great! There is absolutely no logical reason at all for this to be illegal in any state. I'm glad to see that New York has finally taken the step that frankly should not be as big of a deal as it is.

I couldn't be happier about this. Well, I could, if I were gay, a New Yorker and have someone who actually wants to marry me. But I don't have any of those, so I couldn't be happier.

Good job, New York Senate! Same-sex marriage has been legal for years over here, and it doesn't seem to have destroyed our country. It's 2011, I would expect more countries to stop making a big deal out of this. People should be able to marry whoever they want.

Sometimes it can be fascinating that people in most parts of the earth are still living in the middle ages. On the other side travelling around the globe can spare you a, in any case impossible, time machine.

Gay marriage rights are just such a no brainer to anyone who understands what the word equality means that it just kind of hurts me that this is only the sixth state to legalize it.
