Episode 1 works though?
Also, can you please post a dxdiag log?

dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.

Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

Then zip the file and attach it to a reply in this Thread.

Here's the dxdiag log. No, I played Episode One and Two on this computer when I had Vista installed. Now that I have 7 installed, they don't work.

Thanks!

Your video drivers are a couple years our of date, so an update from the AMD site might help.

You can also try resetting the video settings as outlined here.

Laptops are always difficult with driver support :-/

Have you tried updating it with these graphics drivers from AMD yet?

Also make sure to run the DirectX updater.

Finding a newer sound driver is a little more difficult though, because it's a Conexant device, and they don't provide drivers themselves.

I've tried the above graphics update, but it refuses to install, saying that it isn't the right update. I've updated DirectX as far as it will go.

I see. AMD Excludes Toshiba notebooks in the Release notes.

Did you download the games from TTG, Steam or somewhere else?
Do you have any Security Software running?

You could also try a clean boot:

Booting clean in Windows Vista / 7:
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Load Startup Items
4. Select the Services tab
5. Check Hide all Microsoft services
6. Click Disable all
7. Click on OK
8. Click Restart.
9. After reboot, run the game to see if it works.

After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
3. Click Ok
4. Click Yes, when asked to restart your computer

I downloaded it from TTG. I did try the clean boot method early on, with no luck. The strange thing, is that these games worked on this same laptop when I previously had Vista installed.

Does Toshiba officially support Windows 7 on your notebook?
What is the exact Model Number? (Especially the part after "Satellite P305D" )

You could try if installing the Sound driver for your model changes anything.

I am running out of safe ideas here.

You could try installing a modded version of the latest AMD Graphics driver, but it might have side effects and you should only do so if you know how to fix stuff in case it goes wrong.
