Wow, now I'm getting all nostalgic. Ahhh, I remember when those books were cool like, 5 or 6 years ago. Then Dave Pilkey was never heard from beacause apparently he was working on the 9th book; and then Diary of a Wimpy Kid was released and knocked the series down like a sack of bricks! Perhaps this movie might bring back the sereis popularity, or fail and send the series deeper into the grave it's dug itself.

I liked the books, but I don't know how well it would translate to film.
Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv9UZ...eature=related Anyway, I don't think Dreamworks is the best choice to make a children's book into a movie. Did you see The Cat in the Hat?
